Only a country this serious about beer would think to bathe in it. The Bone Church
An hour east of Prague, a small chapel at Kutná Hora is decorated entirely in human bone — a chandelier using every bone in the body, garlands of skulls, a coat of arms in femurs. A half-blind monk began stacking them in the 1500s. It is quieter and stranger than any photo suggests, and it pairs with St Barbara’s gothic cathedral for a full day out.

The Cellars & the Ghosts
Prague sits on its own older self: the medieval town was buried and built over, so today’s ground floors were the first floors of the 1300s. Guides take you down into the vaults, past dungeons and a torture collection, and tell the stories — the Golem, the alchemists Rudolf II kept at the castle, the headless Templar of Liliová street.
